A Hotel or Villa in Florida

Once you have arranged your flights to Florida you will then need to decide whether you stay in a hotel or do you rent a private villa? Your choice will depend on what your requirements are and the size of your family or group travelling.

Most travellers from Europe are generally used to staying in hotel acommodation when they go on their usual European holiday however the option to rent a private villa is more common in Florida than anywhere else.

So what are the main differences between staying in a Private Florida villa against staying in a hotel or motel accommodation?

When you stay in a hotel room generally all the family are in the one room and depending on how many are travelling you may need more than one room which will add to the costs. When you have a private holiday home you will have more than one bedroom and a couch that can be made into another bed. So if you need more than one bedroom a villa can offer you this and may work out cheaper than having to get three separate hotel rooms.

The furnishings in a villa are generally of an excellent standard and more spacious than a hotel room. In a lot of cases the villas are used by the owners themselves at certain times of the year.

If you have to get more than one hotel room there is no guarantee that you will get rooms next door to each other. In some cases you could have rooms not only on a different floor but even a different building.

Hotels can be noisy as people come and go at all hours. Like you people are free to come and go as they please and this could result in you being wakened if someone returns to their room during the night and makes a noise.

A typical villa in Florida will have cooking facilities and a fridge that you can fill with drinks. Unlike in a hotel you don’t need change for a vending machine located on another floor or need to wander around looking for the ice machine that is on another.

In a villa you may or not have a pool if you do it will generally be quite small however it ill be only you and your family using it. Generally in a hotel you will have a large pool which is shared between all the guests.

In the colder months of the year you may need to pay extra to heat the villas swimming pool. This comes at an extra cost and this can be around $40 per day. This would not be payable if you were staying at a hotel.

Top Tips for Air Travel

by Russell Eaton

Here is a great list of tips for trouble-free air travel. An air trip can easily be ruined from just one small thing going wrong. Use these tips as a useful checklist whether you fly frequently or just occasionally.

Be sure that your passport is not about to expire. The expiry date needs to be at least six months beyond your return date of travel. Some countries may refuse entry unless the passport has at least six months validity still remaining.

Decide well in advance what you will be taking with you as hand luggage and what you will be sending separately. The luggage restrictions are much tougher for accompanied bags. Do this several days before you plan to travel as it may affect your luggage plans and other travel arrangements.

Check and confirm flight times and dates for all sections of your trip to make sure that it matches up with your travel plans. If the trip involves several modes of transport, prepare a separate itinerary.

Make a copy of your air travel itinerary and your passport photo page, and leave copies with your key contacts (workplace, family, travel agent or friend). This can be useful in case you suffer a mishap or in case you need to be contacted urgently. Remember to include telephone numbers and addresses of where you can be contacted during your trip.

When traveling internationally make sure that you have any visas that may be required. Verify if there are business or tourist visas and which one best suits the purpose of your travel.

Make a master copy of your critical documents (passport, visas, travel itinerary, hotel bookings, etc). Pack this copy in your luggage as a contingency just in case the original information is lost, stolen, or misplaced.

Bring a copy of your medical history with you. This could simply involve listing any medical conditions, blood type, etc. If you are allergic to any medications, include this information. When traveling internationally try to have these items listed in the local language (if possible).

If you are traveling internationally try to have key phrases written in the local language such as please, thank you, where is, help, and so on. You just need a small slip of paper with a dozen or so key phrases.

Theft is always a concern at airports, but also on flights. Never leave valuables on or near your airline seat - take them with you if you leave your seat.

Constantly be aware of your surroundings while in the airport. Many thieves go to airport specifically to steal.

For the latest tips relating to the air trip itself, see Air Travel Safety Secrets (see contact details below). This free ebook reveals air travel information that airlines don’t tell you. Anybody traveling by air should see this ebook.

If you are suffering from a serious medical condition during your trip, you will need immediate attention. While visiting the United States, you must take a visitor health insurance plan in order to secure yourself during the trip.

Medical emergency can occur in any condition and is unpredictable. The situation becomes worse when the patient needs to be hospitalized. In this particular case, the expenses are very huge to bear by a single individual.

The way the process of getting insurance coverage works is that when you buy your insurance plan you are given an identification card that you can use when you have a health crisis to get the help and services you need. Depending on the plan you get, different services and procedures are covered.

The procedure for filing insurance claims will be detailed in the paperwork the insurance company gives you and will vary from one company to the next. Basically when you need to file a claim, you will fill out the paperwork and submit the claim. The company will then ratify your claim and make payments according to what your insurance policy will cover.

There are two types of payment methods that are generally used by the insurance companies to pay the bills for you. The first one is direct payment to the doctor. Once the company has verified your claim, it will pay the doctor or the hospital directly. Second method makes you to pay the money first. After this, when the claim and the bills are verified, the money is reimbursed to you.

A visitor health insurance policy functions the same way that other types of policies do. If you pay your insurance bill, you will be covered. If you don’t pay your insurance bill, you aren’t covered by the insurance. Paying your insurance bill on time is a very important part of using insurance. You can now see the functionality of the visitors health insurance policy and the important role it can play for you. Now you can start looking for the right insurance company for you. Getting a reference from a friend or family member is a good idea. They can tell you how the company was to work with while they were traveling. This is one of the most reliable ways to get good advise.

Do not worry if you don’t have personal references. You can always get online help in order to choose the right company for you. Read the reviews of the companies to find out how they are treating their customers during the course of filing the claims and providing proper assistance during problems.

Referring websites in order to choose the insurance company provides you some extra benefits also. You can read testimonials and reviews from existing customers. Also, you can compare the plan and make a detailed study to buy the cheaper plan while sitting in your home.

Apart from all the above facts, you must keep yourself insured while traveling your way to any place.
